Dr. Gabriela Molina León, former member of the projects A01 and INF, received the Best PhD Dissertation Award at the Eurographics Conference on Visualization (EuroVis) 2025 in Luxembourg.
Gabriela’s dissertation on "Multimodal and Collaborative Interaction for Visual Data Exploration" was recognized at the main conference on visualization research in Europe due to its contributions on understanding how people interact with data visualizations individually and collaboratively, applying a diverse mix of methodologies. The dissertation committee recognized the dissertation as outstanding for its interdisciplinary approach, thanks to a close collaboration with social science researchers within the CRC 1342, to support data experts on exploring and making sense of their data.
Gabriela conducted her doctoral research at the University of Bremen, supervised by Prof. Dr. Andreas Breiter (PI of the A01 and INF projects) and Dr. Petra Isenberg (Inria & Université Paris-Saclay). She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Aarhus University in Denmark.
